Our mission
The Scientific Calculator started with a simple goal: make a genuinely good scientific calculator that anyone can open in a browser and use immediately - no sign-up, no clutter, and no cost. Whether you are checking homework, running a quick calculation at work, or teaching a class, the tool should be ready in a second and then get out of your way.
What it is
It is a full-featured scientific calculator that runs entirely in your web browser. It handles trigonometry, logarithms, powers and roots, factorials, modulo, scientific notation, and the constants π and e, with a proven math engine that respects the order of operations and cleans up floating-point rounding. A history panel and memory keys let you reuse earlier results, and it works on phones, tablets, and desktops alike.
Privacy comes first
Every calculation happens on your own device. Your expressions and results are never sent to a server - your history and preferences are stored locally in your browser and stay there. After your first visit the app is cached, so it keeps working even without an internet connection.
Who it's for
Students, teachers, engineers, scientists, programmers, and anyone who needs a reliable calculator now and then. It is designed to feel familiar to anyone who has used a handheld scientific calculator, while always staying within reach on the web.
Who builds this
The Scientific Calculator is an independent project built and maintained by Akash Kinkar Pandey - the calculation engine, the interface, and every word of the reference material. There is no company behind it and no editorial sponsors. What's next
Focused tools now sit alongside the main calculator: dedicated pages for percentages, fractions, exponents, logarithms, natural logarithms, factorials, scientific notation and statistics, each with the formula, worked examples and the edge cases explained. Alongside them is a growing set of reference guides covering the order of operations, degrees versus radians, significant figures and floating-point precision. Matrices, complex numbers and unit conversion are still to come.
