How to use the image editor
- Load an image by choosing a file or dragging it onto the canvas.
- Adjust the sliders: brightness, contrast, saturation and blur.
- Use the buttons to rotate, flip, or resize to a percentage or exact pixels.
- Set the output format and click Download.
Every change is applied on a canvas in real time. Because everything happens locally, you can experiment freely - nothing is sent anywhere, and the original file is untouched until you download.
Frequently asked questions
Does the editor upload my image?
No. The whole editor runs on the Canvas API in your browser. Your image never leaves your device.
Can I resize by exact dimensions?
Yes. Switch the resize mode from percentage to pixels and enter the exact width and height, or lock the aspect ratio to keep proportions.
Which filters are available?
Brightness, contrast, saturation, grayscale, sepia, invert and a blur option. Filters combine, so you can stack effects.
Will editing damage my original file?
No. The original is read-only; every edit is applied to a working copy and only the exported download is affected.
What output formats are supported?
The editor exports JPG, PNG and WebP. Choose based on whether you need transparency (PNG) or the smallest file (WebP/JPG).
Can I crop an image using this tool?
Yes, you can adjust canvas boundaries, rotate in 90-degree increments, and flip along both axes before exporting.
Are EXIF metadata tags preserved after editing?
When an image is drawn onto an HTML5 canvas and re-encoded, personal EXIF metadata (such as GPS coordinates and camera serial numbers) is automatically stripped, protecting your privacy.
Can I reset all filters back to original?
Yes, clicking the "Reset" button immediately restores all slider values and transforms to their default states.
