How to use the PDF editor

  1. Upload one or more PDF files by choosing them or dragging them onto the drop zone.
  2. Pick an action: merge all pages into one document, split a page range into its own file, rotate every page, or remove a page range.
  3. For rotate, choose 90, 180 or 270 degrees. For split/remove, enter the first and last page numbers.
  4. Click Run and then Download the result.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to upload sensitive PDFs?

Nothing is uploaded. The page reads your files directly into browser memory, processes them with pdf-lib, and builds the output locally.

What PDF operations are supported?

Merge multiple PDFs, extract a page range into a new PDF, rotate all pages by 90/180/270 degrees, and delete a page range.

Are there limits on file size or page count?

Practical limits are set by your device memory rather than the tool, so very large documents can be slow, but there is no fixed cap.

Is the output quality preserved?

Operations such as merge, split and rotate keep the original page content and text. The tool does not re-render pages, so text stays selectable.

Does the tool fill forms or add text?

Not yet - the editor handles structural operations (merge, split, rotate, remove). Text and form editing needs a richer editor and is out of scope for this build.

Can I reorder pages?

Removing a range plus merging covers most reordering needs. A full drag-to-reorder view is a future extension.

Does editing a PDF remove my existing hyperlinks or bookmarks?

Structural page operations like splitting, merging, and rotating preserve document pages and internal layout without rasterizing text or vector elements.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted or password-locked PDFs must be unlocked before importing, as client-side processing cannot bypass cryptographic security protections.
